During the pandemic, we got to know each other virtually, each of us at home with one big question in mind: “How do we actually stay genuinely connected as human beings?” What emerged was the idea of online speed dating. That’s how *Die Raketinnen* were born, creating over many months a space for people where depth, lightness, and connection could emerge
And very quickly, we realized: this was something more. This was how we could truly connect people and create something new together. What started as a spontaneous idea turned into collaboration and co-creation. And from co-creation, our shared company was born. With conviction. With clarity. With lightness and connection.

What connects us is a shared systemic understanding of organizations and the conviction that sustainable change only succeeds when structure, culture, and people are considered together.
What sets us apart: we do not work with contractors. Every person in our alliance is an independent entrepreneur or business owner with broad experience, a clear stance, and personal responsibility. They are part of this because they want to create impact together with us.

What does “alliance” mean, and why aren’t you a traditional consulting team?
Every person in our alliance is an independent entrepreneur with their own perspective, their own experience, and their own clients. They are part of Balancing Business because they want to be. That makes a fundamental difference: in the quality of the work, in the honesty of the exchange, and in the energy they bring.
How do you ensure that different consultants work consistently?
Through a shared foundation: systemic thinking, the both–and approach, and the conviction that good consulting takes people seriously. This is not a set of rules — it is a shared mindset that shows in every conversation.
Can I choose who I work with?
Yes. In the initial conversation, we look together at who is the best fit for your topic and your company culture. Sometimes that is Carolin or Alexandra, sometimes someone from the alliance, and sometimes a team of several people.

How did Balancing Business come about?
Out of a long-standing friendship and a shared conviction: that good consulting needs both expertise and empathy — and that both–and is more than a slogan. Carolin Friedrich and Alexandra Perl built Balancing Business as a brand that embodies exactly that.
